All alone

I am surviving my longest time away from my husband, when I have stayed home and not taken off to Utah to be with my family.  Phil has been in L.A. since Wednesday and has been having a wonderful time training and learning about Mona Vie and his new career path.  I have been coping well with him gone.  I realize how much I do enjoy having him around and home much I depend on his daily pep talk to get me through my day.  He comes home tomorrow (YEA!).  I on the other hand am trying to make new friends in my new ward, which I am sick of doing but hopefully this is the last time for a while.  So I am inviting some new and one old friend over on Tuesday for a get to know you lunch.  I am wanting to play a game to get to know them a little better and I am not sure what game to play (any suggestions?), but I will figure one out.
With Phil being gone I finally organized my craft room.  It is not completely unpacked put it is functional and it doesn't look like I just threw boxes in that room and closed the door anymore so that is good.  If you can't tell I just feel like blabbering on here, I have to admit I love blogging for two reasons one is I know I am doing some sort of journaling and saving precious memories and two I love reading the comments that people make.  So if you ever read my blog please leave a comment (preferable a nice one)  because I love it.

I too rely on my husband to get me thru each day. Jason is taking off tomorrow until late Thursday and I am in a panic! I have to be on high alert this week or I may be eaten alive by the restless natives!

Good for you for setting up a lunch date! That sounds like fun. Let us know how it goes. Have you posted pics of your new house on the inside? I would love to see it. We should take a field trip to visit you sometime. :-)

Here's a comment for you Lil' Sis.

I know its hard to have hubby's gone, but I enjoy being reminded that you did marry them for a reason, and they are a big part of your life. Isn't is funny, how sometimes we get mad at them, because they are gone to much. Then when they are home we don't openly appreciate it that well? We are just walking contradictions us women. I am excited for you, for your get to know you lunch. One thing Danci and I have always said about you is your amazing ability to make friends. It is something I have envied. I know its kind of hard right now, and you are tired of doing it, but Heavenly Father knew life would take you this way, and blessed you with this talent. So just be yourself, you are fun, interesting, and enjoyable to be around. People are drawn to you, for those things. Yea, for the craft room. I hope this is a good, nice comment for you to read. A little too long? I don't think so, I could read the comments on my blog all day long, everyday. Oh, by the way can't wait for Vegas. I love you Katie, Mama

I have learned, over the years, that I need Russell to be gone once a year or so, just so I remember how much he does around the house and how much I appreciate him. :)

Glad you're surviving. It is hard. :)

That's from Olivia. Good idea, right?

I love comments too, so I'll try to make this one loooong. I think fun get-to-know you games are personal questions, like, what is your most embarassing/funny mother moment? but I know for most of us there are too many to just list one. One of mine, flashing the general public at Applebees while attempting to nurse baby #1 while squished into a booth. Recently while out to dinner I just went to the car, not to avoid flashing the general public which just happens no matter how coordinated I think I should be after 4 kids, but for more elbow room!! Or even questions about high school, or dating mishaps, or left-field questions like if you could be a monster what would you look like? or what superhero powers do you wish you had? The other day Nyah said to her friend, "My mom knows everything." At the time I thought that would be nice, but really it would take the mystery out of life. I think the lunch idea is fabulous. I'll have to copy you. :) Post on how yours goes, and I'll do the same. Have a good week!!

I always thought that you were lucky to have a hubby that could always come home for you at a moments notice. This week must have been really hard for you. Our RS lesson today was on the letters Joseph Smith wrote to Emma while he was away. So sad the trials they went through. I'm glad Phil will be home soon.

I live for comments on my blog too. And I love blogging, but I never do it as much as I want, because it takes me forever to make a post. I too rely on Nathan's pep talks and support. We are so blessed to have fabulous husbands.
